A.W.T. World Trade Announces the Acquisition of American M&M Screen Printing Equipment Company

CHICAGO, IL USA – A.W.T. WORLD TRADE, Inc., has entered into an agreement to acquire American M&M Screen Printing Equipment Company.

Michael Green, President of A.W.T. World Trade, said, “A.W.T.’s primary mission has always been to provide the screen printer with the most extensive line of high quality screen printing equipment and supplies. The consolidation of the A.W.T. and American product lines will enable us to further that mission, enhancing our current products with additional, technologically advanced equipment."

“In addition, A.W.T. will continue to support American M&M equipment with replacement parts and services,” said Green.

A.W.T. World Trade is a complete manufacturing source for screen printing equipment, supplies and parts. The company was first in the industry to develop and integrate the Remote Diagnostic Phone Modem Interface, ensuring instant service and trouble-shooting worldwide. This module, providing a direct link between the on-board processor and A.W.T.’s central diagnostic computer, was first integrated into the Accu- Print High Tech series of presses. In addition to their extensive line of screen printing equipment and supplies, A.W.T. is also one of the few industry manufacturers who offer remanufacturing equipment and services.

A.W.T.'s roots can be traced back to American Screen Printing Equipment Co., founded in 1949 by Sheldon and Melvin Green, father and uncle, respectively, of A.W.T. president, Michael Green. American soon became the major industry leader as it grew into the largest screen printing equipment and supply manufacturer in the world. American revolutionized textile screen printing with the Rototex, Arrow Multiprinter, Centurion presses and Texair dryers. The graphics sector of screen printing experienced a giant leap in print quality with such heavy duty, high quality, and reliable presses like the Cameo, Daytona, Hercules, and Viking. American M&M resulted when American Screen Printing Equipment Company merged with M&M Research in 1993.

A.W.T. World Trade, Inc. has a worldwide network of dealers and distributors. Their corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility are located in Chicago, Illinois. Additional sales and distribution offices are in Miami, Fla., serving the Central and South American countries, and in Holland, Netherlands, serving the European market.
